rs3025039, also known as the +936C/T SNP in the VEGFA gene, has been associated with age-related macular degeneration (ARMD).

A study of 190 Taiwanese patients with late wet age related macular degeneration found that the rs3025039(T) allele was associated with increased risk, with an odds ratio of 2.61 (CI: 1.68 to 4.07, p = 1.45 x 10e-5).[PMID 18378209]

Note that this association may be completely due to the tight linkage (D' = 0.99) between this SNP and rs1061170, which has been reported by numerous studies to be associated with ARMD.
