A study of ~400 African-Americans reported a genome-wide significant association between therapeutic methadone dose as used to treat opioid dependence (mean=68.0 mg, s.d.=30.1 mg) and rs73568641 (p=2.8 × 10e−8), with each minor rs73568641(C) allele corresponding to an additional maintenance dose of ~20 mg/day (of oral methadone).
