It was found that the minor allele (A) of rs62256378 in the SUCLG2 gene significantly reduced cognitive decline in AD patients (p=3.1x10-3,beta=0.32) {Beta represents attenuation in cognitive decline as measured in standard deviations of MMSE). This was only significant in epsilon 4 non carriers (p=0.021).
